Sistership and Internship

Kinda weird title for this post rite? hehehhehe, actually i'm happy for my sister cuz she's gonna graduate soon in September with Bachelor of Oleochemistry (UKM) while apparently in September i will be enrolled into MEng course after finishing my 3 years BEnd Chemical Engineering course at Queen's Belfast (QUB).It seems like my sister gonna work and earn her first salary earlier than me.heheh ,anyway we were born jz 1 year apart ..so that's how it happen that im still studying while my sister is graduating.Currently,she is completing her internship programme with a local company which have its laboratory and technical operation in Bandung and Jakarta as well as in Dubai.She is now staying with my aunt in Sentul and commuting to and fro from her workplace in PJ for the first part of her internship in Malaysia.She called me today  telling that her boss offer her a firm job upon finishing her internship , she will then be stationed in Indonesia for half a year and switching to KL for another remaining half year.I'm pretty sad,cuz she will be leaving on next Monday,and i will take over her room in my aunt house because my internship with Premium Renewable Energy (RE) and Otak-Otak Internship programme is due to start on next Friday.The good news is,since she is leaving for Indonesia,she is quite worry to bring her massive plus heavy Nikon D3000 and willing to switch to my tiny little compact Nikon digital camera xD.So,i will make sure i take pretty and lots of good pictures this summer with hers! voilah!Talking about internship,now that the start date is coming soon,im getting a little bit nervous.yess..I'm NERVOUS! Last months,i was stuck on choosing whether to do accept of to do internship with Malakoff Corp or with Premium RE+Otak2 Programme.I was offered a placement with Malakoff prior to my application through UKEC Careers Fair which was held in London while this Otak2 Internship with Premium RE was  thru my application via their website at http://www.otak2.com/.For Malakoff,i was offered a place in Prai,Penang while for PremiumRe+Otak2 it will be in PJ.Both company have good reputations in Malaysia and i was really screwed up to choose between this two initially.After discussing with parents,friends and one of the Otak2 people itself, plus considering the geographical benefits,i made up my mind and choose to do internship with Premium RE instead.I know Malakoff Corp is an established company since they are one of Malaysia's main power supplier as an Independent Power Producer(IPP) which provided electricity to TNB (IPP was quite a debatable issue which was published in newspaper recently) while Premium Re is a company working on turning the palm oil into biomass which can be further produced to  low carbon biodiesel.Since Malaysia is the biggest exporter in the world palm oil market,i foresee that it will be a good opportunity for me to learn and understand our nations potential in developing renewable energy form palm oil since fossils energy reservoir is depleting years by years.After researching about Malaysian's government economic incentives for palm oil sectors and the future commissioning of severals biomass plants in Malaysia through Premium Re in partnership with Ensyn Corp and Honeywell,i believe that i'd made the right choice to learn and improve my technical knowledges as a chemical engineer as well as developing my leadership skills in this coming 2 months by joining Premium RE and Otak2.The Otak-Otak Programme with its tagline 'The Internship Program for Leaders' is a really well structured programme where 50 best interns were  chosen among 500 applicants  who are studying abroad and at local university.For the whole 2 months periods,each intern which have been assigned to work for a specific company will have to learn and experience the technical jobs at workplace during weekdays from 8-5 and will live togather and socialize with each other during weekend.The entire programme will be mentored by  people with different  background including business CEOs,engineers,accountants and so forth where workshops, leadership seminars,corporate dinners will be held for interns where the main intentions is for all of us to develop ourselves and networking with each other for the future careers prospects.Other than that,many cool and interesting activities such as concerts,outdoors,social responsibility tours and etc will also take place to make this summer is the best summer which will be filled with wholesome activities!  :).Everything sounds really exciting right? (and that's why ,i can feel my nerve is wrecking right now,heheheh).Afterall,i just hope i can do my best for this 2 months and enjoy it as it suppose to be :).More importantly,i must always remember this opportunity as one of the many  "once in a lifetime experience".Like the saying by Mahatma Gandhi, "You must be the change u wanna see in the world" .So y not kan? It is not impossible to change the world as long as I wanna to change myself to be a better person :).Let's hope the best from my internship and for my sister too, insyaAllah we can do it!! :)
