And finally i opted to treat my 'ngengade' tastebuds with --->Assam Laksa !!
I decided to cook at Wal's place since she live quite near to the asian market,Cam Seng.
I was so dissapointed to not found any 'daun kesum' and 'bunga kantan' :( at the so-called asian market.Wal suggested to use canned mackerel in our laksa instead of 'ikan kembong' which isn't available at Camseng.So we spend about 10pound to buy ingredients needed.This is the recipe for our version of Assam laksa;
Ingredients (serving for 8 )
5 canned of mackerel(blended)
dried chillies (blended)
1xgarlic
1xshallot
tamarind(assam jawa)
belacan
salt
water
Garnish
Kaffir Lime(Limau purut)
Shallot
Boiled eggs
Cucumber
#The laksa was so good and reminds me to Shaky~my bestfiend since school a lot!!She is the one who introduced me to the most delicious Assam Laksa I ever eat at Level 2(kalo x cilap,hehe) Jusco Mid Valley!And I really miss her and that laksa stall too!~~~
